OÜ Saare Fishexport and OÜ Ösel Fish are one of the largest producers of frozen fish and preserves in Estonia. OÜ Saare Fishexport was founded in 2001 and is 100% owned by Estonian capital. In 2003 OÜ Saare Fishexport acquired OÜ Ösel Fish. Today, the company operates successfully on both - the domestic and external markets. OÜ Saare Fishexport is specialized on exports and OÜ Ösel Fish on the domestic market.
At present, the group has 110 employees. In 2006, we produced a total of 9 000 tons of fish and 2 500 tons of shrimp. Our fishing fleet and the freezer pland which are located near the port, guarantee that the fish that reaches the customer is always the freshest and of the best quality.
The majority of our output (90%) is exported to Europe, both to EU and CIS countries. At present most of our products are shipped to Ukraine, while some quantities also go to Russia, Moldova, Romania, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Latvia.
Export of fish products
Our production premises were renovated in 2003-2004 and the whole production fully complies with EU requirements. Since Estonia is a member state of the European Union, there are no longer any restrictions in trading with EU countries. The company holds all the necessary certificates on compliance of production that are required for export to CIS and EU countries. In exporting our products to CIS countries we also handle customs clearance required for export of products from Estonia.
Quality
Unlike other Estonian fish processing industries, our production is located near the port and the fish is processed within two hours from being caught. This guarantees that our production is always fresh and of the best quality.
